Okay so Karl Rove is big on paying columnists to endorse his policies. Government agencies spend our tax payer dollars to produce video feeds and local news broadcasts passed them off as journalism. America unites as one voice and its Rupert Murdoch‘s. Blah blah. Old news.

Go bloggers!

Anyway, if you haven’t seen this yet. Do it.

And no, it’s not a spoof – I checked.

The only thing that can make this video and song any worse is if my tax dollars went to pay for it. That’s all I’m saying. If there is a God, there wasn’t a think tank meeting to come up with a song that ‘people can get behind’.

Please be a lone wolf. Please be a lone wolf. Please creepy Steve Perry impersonator – be a lone wolf.

I can’t believe anybody had the complete lack of reality required to write that in the first place. The message it sends to me is “So, we sent your brothers and sisters to their untimely deaths. Get over it and move on.”

I swear, really, I used to be a card carrying republican. The more I see of the Bush band, and the “republicans” in Congress, the farther left I move. I’m now somewhere just left of Dennis Kucinich.

I agree, that was just awful. “I had to go but it’s okay” WTF?

Please do not ever equate that wad with Steve Perry again. He is not worthy to wipe Steve Perry’s ass.

Yes, totally dreadful…but seems in line with the immediately post 9-11 fan-the patriotic-fires-like-with-Toby-Keith phenomenon.

Vomitously funny. I had a mild seizure while watching it, but it was SO WORTH IT.

Thanks Abby of Falafel Sex. Just what I needed, another blog for my newsreader!

I could help but notice that at one point he seems to be carrying around the stars and stripes like a handkerchief to wipe away his tears. Is it really a good idea to use the United States of Amuhricas flag as a booger vault when drumming up patriotic feelings?
