Watergate was before my time. I guess I’ve been a little envious of those that were there. What it must have been like to follow the story as it unfolded. To watch Nixon a perennial political figure – fall. Then not know the true identity of Deep Throat. I have been anxiously awaiting the day when Woodward and Burnstein announced that the man they called Deep Throat was now dead and they could reveal his identity.
Mark Felt coming out and admitting that he was Deep Throat is like the discovery of the Rosseta Stone. After all these years of theories and conjectures – we now KNOW.
We know. Those of us that have read the book, seen the movie, watched the documentaries and frequented the web sites. We now KNOW an answer to a vexing question. A great juicy mystery in the history of our country.

Sure, understandable – IT’S ONLY BEEN 30 YEARS!!!
*ripping hair out*
Anyway, divorce yourself from the snickering every time you read the phrase ‘Deep Throat’ and ‘No. 2 Man’. We have just witnessed one of the greatest – if not THE greatest conclusion to an unsolved mystery EVER.
Get a whiff of the archives, my friends. It’s a good day to be alive and be a history geek!
